December 17 Update

We started the negotiation session by confirming one meeting date in January and setting another tentative date in February. We agreed to come to our next meeting with the hopes of scheduling more tentative dates for the spring. We are very eager to set as many dates as possible.

We started off by coming to a tentative agreement on Academic Freedom. 

We then moved on to discussing our Non-Discrimination article. This article has gone back and forth with significant changes since August, and we need to review it further with our full team.  

We presented a new article titled Outside Employment and Professional Activities. The administration also brought back counterproposals to our Separability and Dues Deduction articles. The discussion on these articles was long and  productive.

Our next scheduled negotiating date is January 28 from 10:30-5 pm at Baker Center.
