UAOU Solidarity Action APRIL 17 Board Meeting

Faculty are coming together on April 17 to show that the university community supports fair bargaining and respect for faculty. This is a chance for students, alumni, and community members to stand with the people who teach, mentor, and support students every day. 

For six years, faculty have been organizing a fair contract and meaningful engagement with university leadership. During that time, administrators have repeatedly delayed progress rather than working toward a resolution. 

These delays are meant to drag out the process in hope that faculty will become discouraged and the movement for a fair contract will fade. But that has not happened. Faculty have continued to organize, build relationships, and expand support across the university community. April 17 is an opportunity to make it clear that faculty are not backing down, and the university community expects leadership to stop the delays and bargain a fair contract.
