February 25 Update

We started off with a discussion of future bargaining dates. At the Administration’s request, the planned March 18 bargaining date was moved to March 23 because of an overlooked scheduling conflict. We also agreed to bargaining dates on April 1, 20, and 29.

The Administration changed its own previous response to our proposal on Union Access to Information and Facilities, Personnel Records, and Dues Deduction which had all been discussed previously. After productive conversations and agreement to minor changes, the teams reached Tentative Agreements on the Union Access to Information and Facilities and Personnel Records articles. The Dues Deduction proposal did not move forward during today’s meeting.  The administrative team brought no new counterproposals on other articles.

The UAOU team brought a counterproposal for Outside Employment and Professional Activities. This was a response to the administrative team’s counterproposal. We are now awaiting Administration response on this counterproposal

It has now been 120 days since UAOU presented our Compensation and Benefits proposals. We have yet to receive a response or a clear commitment as to when the Administration plans to respond.

Our next scheduled negotiating date is March 23 from 10:00-4:30.
