May 28 Update

HERE IS THE REPORT FROM THE TABLE TEAM ABOUT NEGOTIATIONS ON MAY 28

Before today’s meeting, we met with faculty members up at the Ridges for lunch to discuss the ongoing negotiations and to hear their concerns. Thanks to all the members who were able to attend. Please feel free to reach out to bargaining team members and be on the lookout for more opportunities to get involved.

We started the meeting by discussing the Nondiscrimination proposal that has gone back and forth between our teams that we originally proposed on August 27, 2025. The administration team took and incorporated our feedback from our last session and we were able to come to a tentative agreement (TA) on this article. We also were able to come to a tentative agreement on the Dues Deduction article that was originally proposed on September 29, 2025.

We then gave the Administration team our counter proposal for Management Rights. We again went back and forth with several rounds of productive conversations regarding it. We also had discussions about Union Rights and believe that we are making progress on this proposal as well.

At today’s session we were able to sign 2 tentative agreements.  That makes a total of 10 tentative agreements for our collective bargaining agreement (CBA).
Our next scheduled negotiating date is June 2 (12pm-5pm) at the Ridges.
